This is wayyyy tentative, since I'll have... major life-trajectory-changing events going on around May, and thus I may or may not even have a chance to go for something this complex, but I've had this idea kicking around for a few days so here it is!
Tentatively titled "Hetalia Mafia: The Beautiful World" (only because the second game was named after the anime's second title), this game will not involve the Nations running around any woods or hedge mazes and conking each other on the head with metal pipes. Ok, I lied, there will be metal pipes. But the setting will be some sort of mysterious Simulation World-ish environment and any "battles" will only be reenactments of moments in each Nation's history. The Nations can exit the simulation by means of psychological surrender, which will probably mostly happen with the environment showing one of their defeats. The team that forms the Mafia will have a certain reason to want to see this simulation through to its end.
Unlike in the previous two iterations, I'm planning to have timelines factor into this game, which means picking a longer-living Nation may result in having multiple different powers based around different major periods in their history, as opposed to younger Nations who may only have one power. However, because the flow of time is outside of the Nation's control, they'll only get to use one of their powers at a time, so there's a certain balance between versatility and reliability. Alliances and wars may also play a factor in powering Nations up or down during certain periods, or allowing them to converse with certain others through PMs and such.
Thoughts? Like I said, this is all very tentative! I've just been on a huge nostalgia trip lately with APH so I thought I'd put this forth while the idea is still spinning in my mind.
