An Almost Totally Vanilla Game!

Welcome to a very simple game of Mafia! There isn't any of the pesky roles like vigilante that kills poor innocent members of town or any silly miller. Everything is like a simple game of mafia.

Rules:

- Unlimited vote changes
- Mafia gets one night kill a night
- No doctors, vigilantes, millers, lunch ladies, or anything silly like that. Those belong to some other game of mafia.
-Rollover will be at [?]

See... Easy. Just sign up and enjoy the show.

Oh you want to know why it's only just an almost totally vanilla game?

That is really, really simple. One person each night while be given a single piece of random information. Everyone names will be put in a rng and one person will be choice. The mafia team will count as one person in the rng. The type of information is determined by a rng from 1 - 5.

Information type 1 is like saying There was a night kill last night. Information type 5 is like A, B, C, or D is mafia. At the end of the night phase, that lucky person will get a pm with the information.

What are information types 2-4? Also in a vanilla game, "There was a NK" is a bit obvious given that there's no way to block the NK, so if a NK is attempted it's going to show up in rollover no matter what.

Just be aware that when a player gets random info about alignment, it tips the game in favor of town. Detectives are extremely powerful in mafia games and the way that's balanced is by making it dangerous for the detective to claim. When investigation isn't tied to a single player, even if it's rare, there's no disincentive for town to claim results, and there's no way for maf to block the investigation by killing players.

I would allow mafia to all count individually (rather than as one person) to give them more of a chance of getting the result, so that they can lie about it.

Otherwise, this is an interesting concept. I'm a huge fan of games with simple mechanics like this.

Type 1: Useless information
Type 2: A characteristic of an random player
Type 3: If a random player either acted or not (including being the detective) on a random night
Type 4: The name of the player that receive the power last
Type 5: A list of player names which includes at least one mafia.

Hmm, okay, that actually seems fair enough. If it's only a 20% chance of getting alignment that shouldn't be too imbalanced.

It'd be funny as hell if the only time number 5 got rolled was when the Mafia got the RNG.

But yeah, this sounds cool.
