Oof, I totally missed this thread before. I may have doubled up on a few of Megrid's suggestions--which I'll read through later when I have more time. But in the meanwhile, cross-posting this here at the request of Kiyoko!

So I happened to catch the suggestion that you wanted more achievements while you were talking about Nautilus helping you with the trophies. I'm not really familiar with the more advanced roles, nor am I familiar with how crazy these threads can get, but! I do have some ideas that might appeal to you. I don't expect all of them to work, but hopefully they can at least give you some inspiration. Also, I agree that there shouldn't be any achievements that would cause someone to negatively impact the game for the sake of achievement hunting. I have operated with this underlying goal in mind.
First, a simple idea would be evolving or progressive achievements. For instance:
Guardian Angel
As a protective role, successfully save one town member from death
Guardian Angel +1As a protective role, successfully save one town member from death in two different games.
Guardian Angel +2As a protective role, successfully save one town member from death in three different games.
You could also do variations, such as:
Guardian Angel - Doubling UpAs a protective role, successfully save one town member from death in two consecutive games in which you have that role.
That one reads a little fishy, but the intent is that... say you play as doctor one game, then town, then mafia, then doctor again. If you save someone as a doctor in both of those games, you get the achievement. But if it goes doctor (save), town, mafia, doctor (no save), doctor (save), and you fail to save someone in the second doctor game, then you do not get the achievement.
There could also be streaks:
Guardian Angel - StreakingAs a protective role, successfully save two town members from death in a row in a single game.
Guardian Angel - Streaking +1As a protective role, successfully save three town members from death in a row in a single game.
So, basically, the point of all of these is to reward players over many games. Right now we have people starting to get achievements and trophies, but in a few months they might have gotten a lot of them. Adding streaking and progressive ones makes some of them more elusive, rare, and flashier, and thus all the more remarkable and impressive when they're finally obtained. Plus it'd reward consistent and frequent players and activity! Note that I didn't bother to think up names or anything, but I tried to distinguish each achievement from the others. You could either use the same name with additional flair, or slightly change it each time.
If you like the ideas of streaks and progressive achievements, you could also do unlockable ones. Say someone achieves
Guardian Angel, wins a game as mafia, and wins a game as town. They are then eligible for working on a new achievement, such as:
Something for EveryoneIn three consecutive games, successfully lynch a mafia as town, save a town as doctor, and win a game as mafia.
There are a lot of ways you can choose to spin these kinds of unlockables, so I'll wait to hear your thoughts on those before I throw out more ideas for them. So, moving on! Time for rapid-fire silly ones that I think wouldn't impact the game negatively (a few are questionable)? Also, the names are not set in stone and there are likely better ones. I just felt like throwing a few funny names in.
Han Shot FirstHost a game in which two vigilantes shoot each other during the same night phase.
The Democratic ProcessAs town, be the deciding vote in a lynch on a mafia target.
(This one might not be great because it would cause players to withhold their votes)
((TBD))As host, have a page top vote tally for three pages in a row.
. . . for five pages in a row.
. . . for ten pages in a row.
((TBD)) (There's a lot of potential for a name on this one)
As a protective role, target a mafia for a save on N0 at the same time that they target you for a kill.
Reverse:
As mafia, kill a protective role on N0 at the same time that they target you for a save.
DoppelgangerAs mafia, claim a protective role and then in the following day phase lynch a player with that role.
Trust your heartAs a vanilla town, make it to the final three with a mafia and a protective role, and then successfully lynch the mafia.
Double tapAs mafia, kill a protective role on N0 and N1.
You're kind of cursed, aren't you?As a host, run three games in a row in which mafia win.
or
As a host, run three games in a row in which mafia win without losing any members.
Mayor of the YearAs a host, run three games in a row in which town win.
or
As a host, run a game which concludes without the deaths of any town players.
Angel On My ShoulderAs town, be saved from the mafia twice by protective roles in one game.
I always feel like somebody's watchin' meAs an investigator, perform checks on three vanilla towns in a row in a game.
. . . and I get no privacy! As an investigator, perform checks on two other protective roles in a game.
Okay! I'll leave it at that for now, but I still have some other ideas. Let me know what your thoughts are and I'll try to help churn out some more.
