I'm here now! I've been having internet issues so I took a break and went out with my family. ;v;

I suppose people want me to explain my vote on chinomi but I don't really know what to say. I thought it weird that Ninfia and Kiyoko immediately jumped on nautilus as having sent in the NK, when usually in past games, when somebody is stunned, their action disappears, which meant in my mind that nautilus could not have sent in the night kill. This is why I voted for somebody else while waiting for Lucas to clarify, and then I changed my vote after he did. ;v;

Rollover was late by more than just a few hours, and so after long enough, I went to bed. It's very unfair to expect me to be the first vote in that situation. I explained my vote for chinomi above, but as for why I picked chinomi herself, I voted mostly randomly and based on gut feeling the same way I do every single game on the first day.

I think it more likely that mafia was one of the voters who bandwagoned nautilus late in the phase without contributing their thoughts, or else didn't vote.

Oh, no, no, I didn't mean to imply you have any sort of obligation, Town requirement, whatever, to vote first! T_T I just thought it odd to start voting that way prior to clarification from the host, that was mostly the gist of my ramble.

ok nautilus told me to come to the thread and ask what you guys think about Suikoden II. This might be nautilus trolling me or there might be Suikoden fans in this thread. I bought the game from PSN a couple weeks (maybe months?) ago because I read news online that "the greatest JRPG was coming to the PlayStation 3 and oh my god you have to play it!!!" (this is literally the title of a Kotaku article. Ok this is not literally the title of a Kotaku article, but the Kotaku article title was almost literally like that). The thing is, I grew up with JRPGs.

The first JRPG I ever played was Final Fantasy II (which was known as Final Fantasy IV in Japan). I didn't understand a single word of english when I was seven/eight years old and so I went through the entire damn game with absolutely no idea what the fuck I was doing. I still had the greatest fucking time of my childhood with that damned game. I was shocked when I saw the sprite of hero character, Cecil, get smushed together with the damsel-in-distress character and hero's love interest, Rosa, in order to imitate a kissing animation. For a second, I looked around the room to check if my parents weren't around because this felt even more illegal and thrilling than porn (until I actually discovered porn and it kind of invalidated these feelings). My cousin had a PlayStation and he would let me watch him play Final Fantasy IX whenever I went to his house. He would badly translate the dialogue and that's when I realized that I should probably learn english, even if only to understand what was happening in Final Fantasy II (IV). When my dad bough us a PlayStation the next Christmas, it came accompanied by a copy of Final Fantasy VIII. I had so much fun with this game and I didn't even mind the fact that there were actual porn magazines in it.

From that point on, my life was changed forever and I was, now, permanently linked to the world of JRPG. I followed Final Fantasy religiously, and the 9th installment became the closest to my heart. I discovered Chrono Trigger and I played it until I saw every single ending in the game. I fell headfirst into the simple tales of Lufia: The Fortress of Doom and its prequel, Lufia: Rise of the Sinistrals. I enjoyed the worlds of Secret of Evermore, I struggled with the Tales of series battle systems, I raised pocket monsters in Pokémon and adopted familiars in Ni no Kuni, I crawled through the demon-infested dugeons of the Shin Megami Tensei and Persona series. I cried at the ending of Earthbound and Mother 3. I thought deeply about the mysteries of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.

Can one of the possible Suikoden fans involved in this game please tell me if Suikoden II is actually as good as Kotaku was trying to sell it to me???? I haven't touched it since buying. I'm actually paralyzed at the idea that I might be very disappointed at this game -- Final Fantasy has been consistently disappointing me over the past few years (although I forgave Squeenix a bit after playing FFXIII-2 and LR:FFXIII).

My question is.

Should I play Suikoden II?
