➳ Kiyoko - I am sorry if I implied that you specifically were doing that re: too lux didn't read, I meant more as the general you, because I know a lot of people were saying that. I agree with you that some of her phrasing has been.... off.

➳ Luxaria - I think some of Lux's offness can be ascribed to the fact that she is about to go on a journey! to canada! and she may be more distracted than usual. I think that at this point, while I could vote for her, she'd be the last on my list who I would want to.

➳ nautilus - Has been informative and helpful. I don't currently feel suspicious of her. innocent and pure dog gifs may or may not be an influence on me.

➳ Five - I think five's had some pretty solid reads this game, and she's also been actively... examining and questioning people. I have not found that anything she's been saying has really pinged my radar or made me sort of squint at the screen. She's also been quite active.

➳ chinomi - Wahahahaha

➳ angelstar - has been fairly absent. This is pretty typical of her regardles of her alignment it seems because she has a busy life, being a ethreal being with many eyes and wings, probably. you know, as angels do.

➳ Cure - persona. hot senpai. were you the one who stunned me n0? I don't remember if you said that or not. If you weren't, it was likely a mafia stun then I guess? I agree with her in her read on lux-- lux isn't the kind of person to outright lie in thread. its much easier to be untruthful but also honest, if that makes sense.

➳ Entelechy - has been a busy lil duckling, so I don't really have a particularly strong read on them? I don't doubt they're genuinely busy, but... all of their posts have been about how busy they are and not much else that isn't rehashing or examining the more vocal player's lists. of course, I can't say I've been particularly helpful myself as I don't really have anything to offer past my own ability, and at this point I've shared all I feel comfortable sharing until Things Happen. Still. what are your thoughts on what's been going on, Duck? and is there anything you're thinking?

➳ Tiki The Troll - Tiki was super sneaky in his last game, so I've been sort of trying to keep an eye on him. While I don't think he's posted anything particularly damning of himself, I don't really have a strong feeling either way. He has been straight forward about his role at the very least.

➳ Mr. Gerbear - is a lil tipsy right now. Oshawott is an excellent Water Starter.

➳ Rasei - I have absolutely no idea what character she is. I'd intially thought it might be from batman? idk. I saw Tim and assumed a Robin. it seems she's claiming the lab report and a bus though, which is interesting? her behaviour isn't currently reading as suspicious to me.

➳ Aeiou - I do not think she is mafia.

➳ high seraph - fir embl. friend of ezz and Five.

➳ ezzelin - brought up some pretty interesting evidence against Lux, but lux did have an explaination for what happened and why ezz's action did not really do anything to her ability.

➳ Ace - hasn't been around in quite a while! I would like to see what he has to say when he shows up again, but I don't really know that I am not suspicious? I think I'm gonna go back and reread his posts.

➳ Crypsis - Saki! new player! yay!

I would like to hear from Ace and Duck in particular before I vote, and I'm gonna review some posts before I make my "would vote off this list" list. tentatively tho: Ace, Angel, Duck, lux? maybe?

in terms of "how the hell is this balanced" kinda questions, as someone who hosted a game with a lot of people who were like "what the actual shit is the balance", I think players assume they can tell a lot more about the game than they can, especially in a game where so little is straight forward.

I think that especially in terms of mafia numbers, this game is gonna be filled with a lot of shenanigans. multiple redirects. bulletproofs. protects. potentially control of another person's vote? maybe there's someone with a double vote? who knows. I still wonder if at least one person counting for the mafia side "converts" without changing the ratio.

basically, what even is happening.

edit: also I meant to comment on the like... if saki is a limited detective and lux is more dedicated, I could see them both being town? idk.

A thought on Mitsu: Kiyo has said Mitsu is probably not mafia because Mitsu is a very conservative player and thus would have not dumped the drums constantly like what happened. I agree, however, I think Mitsu places a lot of emphasis on rollover and actions that are visible in rollover. Possibly moreso than any other player. In the first iteration of lit mafia, she didn't use her action numerous times simply because she didn't want to obscure rollover information, even though using said action could potentially have saved multiple people from dying.

I don't think this makes her any more or less suspicious than she was before, but it's a thing to keep in mind. I don't think the drums being used twice in a row completely excludes her from being mafia.


@ninfia I tried to stun Chinomi N0 and redirect Nautilus onto Saki. Neither of these things seemed to happen, so I believe I was stunned N0. Possibly by Katagi. I could see mafia stunning me. It's very likely. Or someone moved my actions around.

also alca straight up gave town an election ability and gave mafia the ability to communicate with dead town players in Gakuen S1 so. I think we're going to get a lot farther on investigation results and behavior than we are trying to figure out which of the however many stuns and redirects are maf and how many are town. Not to dismiss it entirely because I think there is definitely value in "katagi was a stunner so the rest of the stunners are more likely to be town" but I think until we have a better idea of role distribution, it's weak evidence.

I also think that mafia is likely to be honest about their actions as a whole. Since all actions are visible and roles like Saki's and Lux's (if Lux is town) exist, it means that maf has to straight up be open about which actions are theirs, and to some extent what their actions do, or else we'll puzzle it out through process of elimination and then FoS anyone who didn't come forward early.

fwiw Ninfia and Cure were protected on N0. I figure it's going to be really obvious once I continue acting anyway but I'm every other night and I don't have protection info for N1 (though my other ability procced so I had tracking info on Raie).

Kiyo is your character from a game i would know?

I was going to go and update the information post but I got lazy and it's also pretty late so I'm probably going to hit the hay soon.

I will say that my flavour is kind of like Ninfia's with respect to the fact that it requires specific conditions to be met before it appears in rollover, and so it's going to be one of the shiny pokémon of this game (which is kind of why I stressed tips on rollover stuff earlier). This kind of expands on what I told Raie the other day, but it's extremely difficult for me to know if my role has come into effect because the only way I know something's happened is if the flavour appears in rollover, and even that isn't particularly consistent in and of itself so I'm very cry

I'm holding off on making more of a specpost until Angel and Ace post or dump more information in this thread, but.

@Raie - idk, man. I went back and looked at that game again, and I mention that there were two reasons I chose to hold back on acting in that game:

- I had an extremely long cooldown and my ability involved cancelling the NK, and I didn't want to use it, then promptly fuck up and be unable to act to save the doctor or something the next phase. I think this was probably the major reason why I acted the phase I did because I felt eleni was going to die and that was way more important to me than my knight dying, since I was confident she was doctor

@Raie I'm pretty sure you have not played this Tales game though I am not sure if you are familiar with the characters or not.

All of my choices were Tales characters. I figured I'd get my #1 choice anyway so I just put husbando Yuri Lowell in slot #2 and shota husbando Spada Belforma in slot #3

Yeah, I am not nearly caught up.

D1 at Cangames was awesome. I played a game where we were all rabbits (think Watership Down), and it was appropriately upsetting (think Watership Down).

I stole an arrow from a human after I saw him use it to kill a dear because I wanted to try to get something to that would give us an upper hand against the owls because they demanded a sacrifice of a kit every month and I was pregnant, but it turns out that human stuff is pretty corrupting, so I didn't prevent a forest fire I easily could have preventing because it would burn the owl's trees down, I figured, and then after a time skip shit got pretty One Ring with me and the arrow and the other clan matriarch, but the important thing is that all my babies lived.

And their names were Holly Meadow, Dewdrop Meadow, Sunbeam Meadow, Thorny Meadow, Midnight Meadow, and Charcoal Meadow. (I was Honey Meadow).

It was very fun A+ now I just got to be back there in 8 hours and I need to sleep for as much of that time as I can.

I agree with you re: mitsu. the way the drums were used doesn't really read how I would imagine maf!mitsu to behave

re: stuns, perhaps its possible that your stun on chinomi was redirected onto me? I know with certainty that I was stunned, so it was either a redirect onto me, or it was the mafia stun if you did not target me.

rubs chin. I don't think I was jailed, so I'm not sure what to make of that protect? something that should have happened did not, so I had to have been stunned...? I'm sending alca an ask though to see if a jail would effect something but I... didn't think it did?

I'm honestly pretty confused but once alca gets back to me and kiyo is back from the shower re: protects/jails, we'll figure it out? there was some kind of inhibiting action on me.

@ A few of the comments directed at me since there have been several--haven't read more recent ones since I'm flitting about, but I don't want to potentially exit this phase without posting comments when I have suspicions on me.

Normally I'd either try to continue to do my best to assist town and make a better case for myself--like I do in most games--or work through whatever's directed at myself, but I am mostly tied up; I'm about to head off to bed, and then I'm on a bus by 8:00 AM. I really should not have signed up for this game, and I apologize to the players and host for getting overwhelmed with IRL to the point that it has affected my ability to participate and play. I thought I could balance it, but lesson learned. I don't know if I should ask for a replacement at this point in time or just try to keep offering my results and thoughts whenever I can. Wi-fi pending, I may not be able to field any responses to questions or probing thoughts for at least tomorrow, and possibly more depending on availability / doing trip-related things. I'll try my best, though.

Other than all of that messy business, I've responded to ezzelin's claims with complete honesty about that half of my role and its interactions as far as I am aware of them. If you find what I've said to be dubious and still want to lynch me for that or any reads you may have on me, I'll understand it since I'm not really much of a benefit to town as is right now (it really sucks typing these words), through both results and inability to provide adequate assistance. I wish I was in more of a position to fight it, as you all know I tend to do.

I think it's interesting that almost every post from Duck, while having a decent amount of words, has been entirely off-topic and an excuse for not being in the thread contributing.

I was only stunned n0? I did not claim to have been stunned repeatedly. I may have gotten the days I was protected vs the day I was stunned confused tho lemmie double check.

That being said... I do agree that Duck's posts seem weirdly offtopic; for the most part they're decently long, but they veer off into areas that aren't necessarily conductive to the game at large and give the illusion of speculation when, for the most part, the posts themselves don't involve game related content (though I don't doubt Duck is busy since long weekend and all).

For what it's worth, Duck's initial post (where they mistake Kiyoko for me, etc.,) read very similarly to the mass-mailed letter that Duck had sent out to everyone in Harvest Moon mafia (down to the mixed up names, only it was Kiyoko and Lux back then; that letter also had comments about how stronger players could be leading people on a ruse, which Duck did this game with Five/Raie/Kiyoko) and so I didn't particularly think much of it other than "... ??? List??? What list?" but yeah idk what to make of their posts as of late

@ninfia I guess I assumed you were claiming to be stunned again because you said you had no flavor in rollover this time.

I don't have a super concrete reason for thinking you're mafia, that just some of your posts strike me more as how you post when you're mafia as opposed to when you're town (i'm getting Second Half Of Love Live Maf vibes. i knew immediately that you were probably the convert since the way you were posting changed). Also if lux ends up being maf I'll be more suspicious of you. :V

the hmmm list is not really a MAFIA MAFIA MAFIA list (it has six people on it!! there are only FVIE MAFIA (five is mafia. confirmed)) just an "i am suspicious of these people i guess as opposed to indifferent"
