ARCHIVIST - Ninfia
----------------------------------------------------
ARCHIVIST; TOWN The Archivist has lived in New York City all of her life, growing up as the single young daughter in a family of six sons. Though her father and older brothers went off to war, not a single one of them returned. In order to help her aging mother raise the only brother she has left, the Archivist took up a job with the New York Public Library cataloging old articles and manuscripts in their stacks. The meticulousness of her work has started to take a toll on her eyesight, but she wouldn't trade her job for the world. Though she's still young and rather pretty, she dresses modestly, often wearing an old but professional-looking suit, with simple earrings to match her glasses. Her coworkers describe her as shy and kind, though also very serious and hardworking while on the clock. Though she's polite to everyone and nobody thinks poorly of her, she's made few real friends at the library. Her braid of blazing red hair and hazel eyes have occasionally attracted comment in the otherwise plain environment of the library. Each night after work, the Archivist can spend an hour or two browsing the old newspapers in the library for information on certain roles. The Archivist doesn't get much time with the articles, though, so unfortunately she cannot learn as much as she'd like. Send the host the name of a role to research to uncover a single piece of information about either the history or the alignment of the character with that role. (e.g. PM the host with "I want to learn about the Journalist" and the host will say something like, "The Journalist dated Justin Bieber in high school.") |

CASANOVA - Cure
----------------------------------------------------
CASANOVA; TOWN Born in la bella più città di Sicilia, this charming young man immigrated to the United States at dawn of the Great War. Though he's lived in New York for nigh a decade, his vocabulary has yet to really expand beyond the minimal basic phrases. His too-loud voice can often be heard from the streets: "Ciao bella, why donna I buy you a drink?" (He blames prohibition for his unlucky streak with the ladies.) Currently, he works a low-paying job out in the mid-afternoon sun unloading cargo from ships at the harbor; subsequently, he spends all of his wages on cologne and nice clothing to impress the ladies. He might be a bit air-headed at times, but his outgoing demeanor has made him more than a few close friends in New York. Though he's not really fond of his plain brown hair (too boring; it won’t get the ladies’ attention!), he's looking into buying a nice blue silk tie to match the hue of his eyes. He's heard that cats love men with alluring visages, and by cats he means women and by visages he means his face. Every night, the Casanova can approach a player and invite them out to a date. If the targeted player is female, they'll have a nice date and the Casanova will learn a thing or two about his new companion, though she'll be so distracted by his charm that she'll forget to use her night action. If the targeted player is male, nothing will happen and both will go off on their merry ways. The Casanova is not a, how do they say, “three-letter-man,” after all. |

COMMISSIONER - Tiki
----------------------------------------------------
COMMISSIONER; TOWN The grandson of an Irish immigrant, the Commissioner is a proud American police officer who has worked for the NYPD for thirty years straight, after joining as a young cop at the raw age of 20. Ten years ago, he injured his leg in a shoot-out. Now confined to an office job due to his grievous limp, he has swapped his uniform out for a nice sharp suit. He continues to hunt down criminals from his flimsy, government-issued desk. Though his red hair and mustache have started showing flecks of gray, and his green eyes aren't as keen as they used to be, he has no intention to retire. He's the sharpest and most disciplined mind on the brass, and the new officers respect his stoic demeanor. At the beginning of each day phase, the Commissioner gathers the reports on his desk and learns one physical characteristic of a suspicious person. (e.g. "Sighted: suspicious man with a My Little Pony T-shirt.") By suspicious, I mean mafia, naturally. |

ENTREPRENEUR - Rasei
----------------------------------------------------
ENTREPRENEUR; MAFIA He calls himself an Entrepreneur, but others might say he's a snake oil salesman. He grew up in the not-so-wild west of California, raised by a single father from whom he learned his shady business practices. After getting caught selling plain water in the guise of medicine, the pair were run out of town. The Entrepreneur's old man has since passed away, but he continues on his father's legacy on the streets of New York. His natural hair color is red and his eye color is brown, and he wears a scarf to hide his face. He's known to speak with an accent (though it changes, occasionally) and a limp (though the leg isn't always consistent), with an amiable but sarcastic tongue (that part sticks around, though). One thing his old man did teach him before he died is that it ain't too difficult to trick anyone into believing whatever you want. Each night, the Entrepreneur can change, add or remove one aspect of his appearance (hair/eye color, clothing) or demeanor (accent, limp, personality). If he looks or acts similar enough to another role's character (i.e. shares enough traits that are the same, and doesn't have too many traits that are different), there is a chance someone might mistake him for that person, after which he will learn their role and appear as this role (with respective alignment, so a town role will cause him to appear as town) upon death or investigation).

GOSSIP - Lucas
----------------------------------------------------
GOSSIP; TOWN As a stay-at-home mother, the New York-born Gossip really only leaves the house for two reasons: grocery shopping and church. She loves talking about neighbors and friends, and when she hears a tidbit at church, her first instinct is to instantly telephone all of her gals and share the news. She has long red hair, usually pinned up, green eyes, and a mole on her face (which she calls a beauty mark, and will get upset if others do not call it the same). Though her friends at church think highly of her and her information, fellow churchgoers might describe her as annoying, loud, sarcastic, or air-headed. They're afraid of speaking out against her, though; rumors tend to spread about people who she dislikes. Each night, the Gossip can target one player to learn a detail about their demeanor. Additionally, they can target a different player to tell them the information they have discovered. (PM the host two names, one of the person you want to investigate, and one of the person you want to gossip to.) |

JOURNALIST - Gerry
----------------------------------------------------
JOURNALIST; TOWN Independent and outgoing, one day the Journalist stormed out on her old-fashioned family to stake out her own plot in life. With her charismatic personality and her whirlwind notetaking speed, she managed to land a job as a columnist for the New York Times. Most of her meager earnings go towards rent for her small apartment, but the rest always ends up spent on clothing and accessories, like her constantly growing collection of scarves. This young blonde always tries to stay on top of fashion, often seen sporting the newest hair or dress styles. She likes to think herself charitable, but she simply cannot help looking down on those who don't pay as much attention to their appearances. Though she tries to remain professional, her words sometimes bite with a sarcastic edge. When working, she wears a pair of blue-rimmed eye glasses to match the color of her eyes. Each night, she can go out and interview a player, learning one detail about their past. |

PHOTOGRAPHER - alca
----------------------------------------------------
PHOTOGRAPHER; TOWN Though he speaks with a thick French accent, the Photographer was actually born in Atlanta, Georgia. Due to the nature of his career, he's decided that people will take his art more seriously if he pretends to be European. (Zere is so far no reazon for 'eem to stop; eet seems to be working very well.) To fit with his image, he often wears a cravat and earrings and sports a well-trimmed goatee, all of which he insists is very fashionable in his ville natale de Paris (a city which he has never once visited). He lives in a small, cluttered apartment and spends most of his time out in the city; his neighbors know him as that tall Frenchman who looks down his nose at everyone. True to the letter, the Photographer is somewhat of a quiet and unsociable recluse, quicker with a scathing insult than a polite remark. He has black hair and brown eyes, and wears mostly black, which he deems to be a très sophisticated color.
Each day, the photographer can take a photo of one player. As night falls, he will return to his studio (also known as his tiny, cramped apartment) to develop the photos and learn a detail about that player's appearance. Any actions on him during the night will carry on to the following day phase (i.e. if you are stunned on N0, you can't photograph on D1). |

RAILROAD BARON - Five
----------------------------------------------------
RAILROAD BARON; MAFIA The Railroad Baron comes from big money, and makes big money, though his earnings are sometimes of mysterious origin. Many politicians and other officials hold this man in high esteem. It's not entirely known where he's from, though he tells others that his family has lived in New York for generations, and that he inherited his railroad business from his father, who coincidentally has a different surname as himself (he changed it, you see, so as to "start his own legacy rather than walk in the shadow of his father's"). The Railroad Baron has platinum blond hair, brown eyes, and a neatly trimmed mustache. He often wears a sharp white suit, and sometimes cologne. Though he's getting on in his years, he retains an almost noble or military bearing. He treats his work with the most professional attitude, and many know him as a shrewd and intelligent businessman. Not much is known about his private life; he tends to keep to himself. Once a night, the Railroad Baron can send in a PM to the host listing a player and role name. If the player matches up with the role, the Railroad Baron can pull some strings and prevent that player from acting or learning information from their role for one night. Additionally, the Railroad Baron’s henchmen will report back a piece or two of information about the player they distracted.
If the player is not that role, the Railroad Baron will be informed that the skill has failed. (Does not appear in rollover).

STREET RAT - Blaire
----------------------------------------------------
STREET RAT; TOWN No one really knows the boy's name or where he's from, or even if he has any family in New York. He's known only as the Street Rat. People speculate from his black hair, green eyes, and tan skin that he might be from eastern Europe, or perhaps a gypsy. He wears a tattered scarf that covers most of his face, but the fabric doesn't seem to muffle his voice at all. He expresses a clear command of the English language by shouting insults in a thick Brooklyn accent at anyone who encroaches on his territory (“Hey, get oiff’a moy toif, ya scutch!”). He's got a sharp wit and a sarcastic tongue, but doesn't tend to stick around people long enough for them to find out. Each night, the Street Rat can follow a player all sneaky-like and learn any information that the targeted player may have received that night, along with a small hint about the player’s role. |
----------------------------------------------------
WAITRESS - Luxaria
----------------------------------------------------
WAITRESS; MAFIA Her official title is Waitress, but all her regulars know her as "the barmaid." She works at a speakeasy in the basement beneath the hotel on Third and Sixteenth. Hired for her youth and good looks (black hair, blue eyes, well-endowed, and a beauty mark right above her lip), as well as her flirty and outgoing personality, she's incredibly popular with the speakeasy patrons, and she treats them all kindly in return. She doesn't wear much jewelry, though she does allow herself a pair of simple gold earrings and maybe one or two rings, though none on her fourth finger. Nobody really knows where she's from, though her accent marks her as a New York native. She doesn't talk much about her past. Whenever anyone asks, she makes up a new lie each time. Each night, the "Waitress" can target one player to make them drunk. If their role was investigative, they will learn random incorrect information. If their role targets a player for a non-investigative action, their ability will be redirected to a random target. Additionally, you will learn a detail about the history of the player you target when they spill their soul out to you in drunken camaraderie.
