If you're referring to the percentages, I admit, i felt there was really little difference in either no lynching, or risking the mislynch. Granted, we basically only get one shot either way.
Besides, this way, gives us an idea over who the neutral might be, given not everyone voted "no lynch."

Though, thinking on it now, one thing I forgot, is the random message mechanic. Assuming it goes to a Town that survives the night, and isn't useless, that's also an added benefit to not risking blowing our potentially only vote on D1.

Except one way provides a better chance of lynching a mafia over the alternative. And as you say, potentially more information.
IN OTHER WORDS, ONE MIGHT PROCLAIM SUCH A PROPOSITION TO BE OBJECTIVELY BETTER THAN THE ALTERNATIVE, WOULDN'T IT BE, TROLL?

Okay, as an aside. Regardless of someone's alignment or ulterior motives or whatever else, an objectively better plan helps town. I want you to acknowledge this. I mean we're playing a small vanilla game so there's only so much we can do, but thinking about actions before doing them helps. It really does.
