alcasync wrote:Clarifying the room locking role! Deo is exactly right. Players can't target a locked room, but they can target players in a locked room. So it's not a perfect jail since it only protects rooms and not players. (But it blocks the night kill, at least!)
The only information I've left out relates what movements/actions the role is allowed to make at night. I don't want to give that away because I think this person is town and I don't want mafia to be able to predict what they'll do at night.
And... I've been kind of ??? about drandahl too because he also hasn't been contributing too much, but the reason I didn't vote him is because he was my room partner last night so he couldn't have laid the NK trap. (I don't think you should change your vote though, eleni, because you can only change once.)
I'm okay with the activity rule! ;v;
Ok, given that you're claiming that the entirety of the jailer role says specifically that you can't target a locked room, but you can target a -player- in the locked room, leads me to believe that the silencer role was not just a shot in the dark. There are roles that specifically target players and this is now confirmed.
If anyone has any reason to believe that the silencer role, which is probably one of the most direct roles you could have, is likely to still be random I would like to hear the logic behind it. But as of right now this bit of information is making my suspicions we talked about with Mr Alice earlier go nuts.
If the target was not an accident, the selection really bothers me.
I can understand why people would not want to lynch Mr Alice because they haven't had a chance to defend themselves, but like I said before, I think even in a case like that we have more to gain than lose. If not only for the fact that this is really all we have to go off of at this point.
Yes Mr Alice
could be a power role. But so could anyone we're going to lynch tonight in general based on the information we have. Alice, drandahl, anyone who's been voted thus far. Until we have more solid leads we must assume everyone is the most powerful role possible at all times. But at the same time, we can't just keep NLing. There's gotta be a choice.
Also, on drandahl. I legitimately forgot they were playing, they have been so silent. That's always fairly suspicious to me, but I still think the silencing role being played out on probably one of the least useful people is more suspicious.
I am leaning toward voting Mr Alice after being given the new information by Alcasync. I'd like to hear other people's thoughts on why or why this is not a good idea. Not as much to make a decision, but to poll everyone's thought process on why either town or mafia would target her.
