Ugh, I just went back to check my documents of mechanics, and apparently it was in there. Sorry. ;_; Trying to keep track of all of this between personal notes, thoughts, and info dump.... ffff.
Thank you for that reminder, both of you.
Hmmm. That does make Rasei's claim believable, though I still want her to answer my questions. Also, we can test what she's saying by giving her a list of 2-3 confirmed town / least suspicious players to send it to, so she can't be thwarted as easily. It's an easy way to check her claim.
For AliceofOz, I will think on this. This is a bit of a metagame read, but I mean she's my waifu and I spend my life most of my day with her, and she's been pretty busy lately so it makes me wonder if she even could've gotten a NK action in before I did. I do know she was present near rollover, as was eleni, another suspect.
Um. I keep wondering if it might've been possible for a mafia to just have an automatic sort of attack that goes off, but that might not make sense? But, like, I mentioned it before, but I find it really, really bizarre that every night save one we've seen "An attempted kill failed!" With only 3-4 room pairings each night, plus one jailed room (which we didn't even have last night), and nearly as many empty rooms as occupied rooms... I mean, what are the odds that mafia somehow have failed every single non-whatever-killed-Kiyoko kill? That's so bizarre to me.
That said, last night was the first night that we saw a trap dismantled, which means we know that one was placed N1, and thus confirms that one was not placed N0 (unless that was what killed Kiyoko? Like, she walked into a room with... a ritual in it that summoned something, and that was the trap?). But the absence of other traps showing up is a hole in my theory because otherwise, I'd almost wonder if there's some passive effect that tries to kill someone in the night (which has also somehow failed? or it's just an automatic message?), and the actual NK has been on empty rooms almost every time... because I'm having a lot of trouble believing mafia somehow hit a paired or jailed room 3/4 nights. Maybe they really are just that unlucky, though.
The main reason I'm going through this line of inquiry is because I guess my pride demands that I find reason as to how I could be beaten at rollover. I informed Nautilus 1hr 30m before rollover that if chinomi flipped mafia, I would be sending in my role so she could prepare a second rollover text if necessary. I also typed up my message and had it ready to send, hammered F5 on the thread the entire minute leading up to rollover, and the second I saw it I hit send less than 5 seconds later. I wish I could see seconds on a sent PM. Maybe I lost a second to a mafia since I was making sure chinomi flipped mafia, so I guess that'd explain it. But if someone did beat me, that really, really has me curious as to who sent in the NK, and it points me more in the direction of eleni or another vet since she'd be more likely to have experience with getting actions in quickly. I guess we can't preclude the thought that the veteran mafia on the team would tell the one sending it in to do it ASAP at rollover, even if the one sending it in was less experienced.
Tl;dr: My pride has been wounded.
At any rate, most of that isn't... necessarily anything that needs to be addressed by anyone in a serious capacity. One of the role's Kotakia revealed does line up with how Kiyoko died, and--
@ Nautilus
Do traps destroy rooms?
I don't think that they do, but I guess this is the best way to test what I'm wondering. If the answer is no, I'd find it highly unlikely that mafia would have:
1) The vigilante role Kotakia described (unless it's on neutral, but I'm leaning 70 to 80% chance of it being mafia, and it really does sound like that was what hit Kiyoko)
2) Normal NK traps
3) Ways to make room destroying NK traps (unless these have permanent duration? But we've been in almost every room, haven't... we.... hm...... I will return to this when I post the aforementioned speculation/reads post I'm working on.
I guess it might not be impossible for mafia to have all of that, but... still.
Oh, hey.
@ plotstickers:
Have you sent anyone else messages? Has anyone else received a message from plotstickers? I can't imagine you chose to only send one to chinomi at this point.
Also, can you reveal why you doubt that she targeted room 8 on N0? I mean she was a lying mafia scum and (most likely) had no interaction with room 8, but you clearly had reasons/information to think ill of her claim.
@ Rasei:
Mmhm, I realize that now. Can you answer the other questions? I just want to understand how it works, but I think I am not inclined to suspect you for now, especially since we can wait until D5 to verify if you sent someone a will. Your role sounds fairly pro-town to me, but I'll let people with more games under their belt weigh in on that.
