Specpost.
On drandahl's inactivitySORRY I ACTUALLY DRAGGED HIM OUT TO PLAY INGRESS WITH ME AND I AM THE ENTIRE REASON HE WAS NOT HERE THIS EVENING, however that doesn't excuse his general lack of informative posts at every other moment between the hours of 7pm and midnight PST, so.
On Mr. AliceI understand Tet's viewpoint. I really do. I don't suspect him at all for wanting to vote the way he does. I also understand Sammie's viewpoint and don't suspect Sammie for voting Tet for voting Blaire (phew) because that's incredibly consistent with the kind of person Sammie is.
My personal opinion is the same as my last post where I discussed this. We're not in any danger ratio-wise, so I don't see it as particularly detrimental to leave her alive even if she is mafia.
That said. Tet's also right. Blaire isn't someone who particularly contributes a lot to the discussion (no offense Blaire you know I love you), and while she might be a town power role, so might everyone else. If we have to lynch anyone in this phase, he's right. Blaire is a fairly safe lynch from a thread participation standpoint. Even if it is WIFOM, it's enough of a WIFOM that it's essentially a coin flip from town's POV.
On Tet and Sammie in particularIf Blaire flips town, Tet pushing a lynch on her when she can't defend herself makes him look
really, really bad. For this reason, I don't believe Tet is maf pushing a lynch on a town Blaire. I don't even believe Tet is maf pushing a lynch on a maf Blaire, because I do genuinely believe that alca's implication that there are player-targeted actions are what tipped him into voting the way he did.
So I don't suspect Tet for his vote regardless of how Blaire flips.
I already mentioned that I don't think Sammie is defending Blaire, I think Sammie is just being her normal self, championing those who can't defend themselves. If Blaire flips maf, I still won't particularly suspect Sammie.
On Tiki, Deo and drandahldeo votes drandahl, presumably to save himself. This makes sense from deo's perspective regardless of alignment.
Immediately after, Tiki, who was going to allegedly vote Rasei, switches his vote to deo.
Tiki The Troll wrote:Ninja'd: Well, so much for not tipping the balance. XD So, crap, uh, to even it out... vote: deo?
...Why?
Well, apparently because:
Tiki The Troll wrote:He seemed like a decent choice too, if only because he was the one to unbalance the vote, so...yeah.
I'm sorry, what about deo
voting to save himself is considered suspicious enough to warrant a vote, here? Especially considering,
Tiki The Troll wrote:I want to vote a no lynch before bed, then maybe switch it up in the morning (since a lot of discussion tends to happen whenever I'm asleep), but no guarantee I'll be able to
In other words, Tiki,
you had no intention of changing your vote. You could "maybe" change it, but you weren't guaranteed to be able to do so. By leaving your vote on him, you're making it that much more likely that deo is the final lynch candidate. So what is it about deo that makes you so okay with the possibility of his death, or alternatively, what is it about drandahl that's encouraging you to try to save him?
I think if either deo or drandahl were to be lynched, that might shed some light on Tiki's alignment, too.
Maybe I'm reading too deeply into all of this and this is just Tiki being Tiki as per usual, in which case I'd like someone to to offer their genuine outside opinion.
On chinomi and plotMessage sender is usually town-aligned, and even if it is mafia-aligned, it's not a particularly... useful... mafia role by itself, unless (as chinomi mentioned) it's being used to try to deceive townies. If it's the case that message sender decided to use their action to send an inside joke to a friend, I'd put that down as more of a town move than a maf move. In any case I'm okay with at least leaving pladderlot alone until we get confirmation on if she's actually the message sender and all that.
ConclusionI'm going to be voting for one of Mr. Alice, deo, or drandahl tonight, because I don't want to split the votes any further, and I buy Tet's argument about why Blaire is a relatively safe lynch.
I'm actually particularly interested in the tie right now between deo and drandahl. I'm actually particularly interested in ties.
I'm really, really interested in how people will vote if I try to force the following tie.
vote: Mr. AliceI will be up before rollover. I'm making an effort to shift my schedule an hour or two earlier so that I stop getting into work so late. I don't really expect many other people to post before rollover. But I will be able to change my vote if need be.
Three-way tie between three people I don't particularly mind lynching for information? Bring it.
